[How could you not love this guy?]
GQ's blog on Men.style sat down with Marc Jacobs and got to the bottom of his huge transformation over the past years. Marc has become a sort of figure that it seems either people love or they hate. I am a fan. I don't care if he starts his shows two hours late, is bipolar ex-addict that is taking over the W.Village with his "Marc" stores, or even his tatoos and blue hair. Go here to read the full article in which he exclaims:
“Exercising is fun—the best part of my day,” Jacobs says with effort. “I’m such a catastrophic thinker that when anything happens, I figure I better just live life to the fullest—buy a diamond necklace, get another tattoo, work out with Easy.”
And then there's this:
“It’s like saying, ‘I want to look hot.’ That is such a dumb thing to say,” Jacobs notes. “But what’s so cool about it is that you can say it. Yeah, I want a bunch of muscle queens at David Barton Gym to think that my body looks dope. And I might think that was an awkward and dumb thing to say, but I still like that I’ll throw it out there. Because it’s true, you know?”

i really like marc jacobs, im not interested in fashion and im straight so i guess the typical assumption might be that i 'shouldnt' like him- but he is a great and superbly talented character. i had not heard of him until i read the above mentioned article. its a welcome change to reading about charisma vacuums like posh spice or the captain jack reject russel brand...i hope he carries on with his new day to day regime and continues the good work!
