Tuesday night, I had the pleasure of joining The Society (New York's fast-growing “virtual culture club”) at their first event for 2009, a private viewing of the much talked about documentary "Salt of the Earth" at Norwood. The film follows the Rolling Stones 'A Bigger Bang Tour' tour through 40+ countries, and has been called (apologies to Mr. Scorcese) "the best documentary ever on the band" and I wouldn't disagree. The Society Executive Director Annie Evans welcomed guests, including Julia Stiles and Erin Lucas, to the cozy third-floor bar with two special martinis, “The Salt of the Earth” and the“The Start Me Up”, provided by event sponsor Ketel One Vodka, before we repaired upstairs to the screening room for the film.

After a whirlwind experience through, amongst other stops, Rio, The Super Bowl, Beijing, and Buenos Aires, we had the chance to talk with co-directors Anthony Green and Jacob Cohl.
