[Gillian Miniter, Karen LeFrak, Evelyn Lauder. All photos by JOE SCHILDHORN for PMc] Some of the city's most chic and charitable women gathered in Central Park's Conservatory Garden Wednesday afternoon for the 27th annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon or "The Hat Luncheon" to sip tea, lunch, and chit-chat about their enormous hats. But these philanthropic ladies didn't just stop in to compare head gear, they were in attendance lunching for a cause. More story and photos below... The Women's Committee along with 1200 ladies and a few hat-dodging gents raised $2.1 million benefiting the Central Park Conservancy. Guests included Martha Stewart, Amy Fine Collins, Bette Midler, Tory Burch, and Douglas Blonsky, Francisco Costa, and Wade Thompson were included in the few men scattered among the wide brims and floral head tops.

Hi all. I am sending Hat - tea luncheon pictures. Is it corny to do this at night during the week after work? Larry from Wyeth was going to check to see if pharma could even sponsor something on the weekends, if we wanted to do an actual luncheon. A weekend event is atypical but we could do it. Our first event in 2007 was on a Saturday afternoon. Possible dates - Tuesday October 13th, Wednesday, October 21st Send back your thoughts to reply all!!!!!
