If I’m ending up at SLATE on W. 21st street on a Tuesday night, it damn better be for a good reason….If you’ve been to SLATE, you KNOW what I’m talking about. So what dragged me out tonight? A Denim Drive! Yea, that’s right, a Denim Drive!

National Jean Company and Earnest Sewn partnered to create the ‘Make an Earnest Difference’ 2008 Spring Fashion Show and Denim Drive.' Not only did your name have to be on the list, but you had to have a pair of jeans with you to donate to gain access in... Tonight was the kick-off for the 5 day campaign to collect old denim for the COTTON BLUE TO GREEN campaign. Old jeans and Cotton products will be recycled into environmentally safe insulation for homes for underprivileged children. LOVE THAT. I parted with my $39.99 H&M skinny jeans which actually made me look like I have an ass…but what a cool cause, so I was happy to do it! (Don’t worry my Earnest Sewns are still in my closet.)

Guests sipped cocktails while waiting for the fashion show featuring Earnest Sewn Denim to begin. We got some great pics of the show. I have the say; the highlight was this one fierce model that walked down the runway with such an intense ferocity as if she owned the whole damn place. We love her and she turned the show out!!

So who else was getting Jiggy with Guest of a Guest? Hot ‘97 On-Air personality and The Main Event Web TV Host Dee Vazquez, Shoe Designing Scions Hilary Rosenman and Barri Budin of Madison Harding, Socialite Emma Snowdon-Jones (toting a fly Anya Hindmarch bag ~ We were happy to see both of them!!), Man-about-town David M. Gruning, NY from LA recent transplant PR guy Dimitri Aletras, About to be Reality TV Divas Mary Rambin, Julia Allison and Megan Asha (posing with piles of donated Jeans), handsome playboy Clay Floren, charming designer Keith Lissner, Fashion/Beauty Reporter Douglas Marshall, Sax-o-phoner Maria Christina Eisen and Bongo Boys Eric White and Justin Justin, and of course, Charlotte Ronson and Bijou Phillips (with her entourage 11 deep). We waited by the door for the likes of Richie Rich and Robert Verdi…um yea, where were you guys???
