Remember those New Years resolutions? The ones you repeated on Earth Day, yet seem to have forgotten?

It's time to bring them back.

We're here to make things easier for you with a guide of how and where to shop for great products that that are made with the environment and ethics in mind. New Yorkers are lucky to have access to some of the best values-driven brands in the country. To start off with, a few tips:

  • Be aware of packaging. Bring reusable bags - there's no need to waste several paper and plastic bags and mountains of tissue paper when you can easily cut down on waste.
  • Think critically about your purchases. Yeah, retail therapy saves lives, but you probably don't need another black crop top or denim skirt. Cut down on waste overall by thinking about what each purchase will actually add to your wardrobe.
  • Donate old clothing.
  • Look up eco-friendly dry cleaners in your neighborhood to ensure that your clothing lasts and has minimal environmental harm.

TLDR; Where to shop to feel like a good person
