Last night, The fifth annual Wayúu Tayá Foundation fundraising gala took place right down the street from us, at the Bowery Hotel. Patrucua Velasquez, actress, model, adn UNESCO Artist for Peace founded the organization in 2002. It raises funds for Latin American indigenous communities, focusing on the those that are most at risk-women and children. Some of the honorees and presenters at last night's event included:

DONNA KARAN, ANDERSON COOPER, ROSIE O'DONNELL, IMAN, ISAAC MIZRAHI, NARCISSO RODRIGUEZ AND BEBEL GILBERTO.
