Vintage Police Cars Patrol Lower Manhattan

This past weekend, the New York City Police Museum had its annual car show. On Saturday and Sunday, these classic cars were on display until 2 pm, at which point they did a loop around the Museum with their sirens on, giving contemporary New Yorkers a chance to see these relics in action. More than anything, the show, which took place in the first area of Manhattan that was developed (the southern tip) seemed to be a reminder of just how classy everything was (and is) in NYC, even pragmatic institutions such as the police department.
