Voices Against Brain Cancer

by Rachelle Hruska · June 6, 2008

Brain cancer has entered my life not once, not twice but three times. My grandmother died from the disease when I was a senior in highschool, and later, in college a very close friend of mine was diagnosed (he is alive and fighting it!). Last year, my friend Matt Twit was honored at the Voices Against Brain Cancer benefit, a benefit who's committee I was on. I also got a chance to see my grandmother honored among the many others at last year's event.

This year, the event will take place at the same place (the Hammerstein Ballroom), and will no doubt, be just as special and grand as the last one. GofG will joining the voices on Thursday to not only support this amazing cause, but to provide coverage of this amazing event.
