One of the best seasonal outposts for lobster rolls in NYC is the Lots O' Lobster stand. The stand is open from Mid-May until October, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 5pm, rain or shine. Instead of housing lobsters in salt water tanks, the stand receives vacuum-sealed chilled containers of lobsters each day straight from Maine. A family-owned pound in Maine is responsible for catching, picking, and cooking the lobsters, before sealing them up and sending them to NYC ASAP for the most authentic taste possible.
