Indulge In Rainbow Oysters & Support A Great Cause For Pride Month

by Stephanie Maida · June 6, 2022

When oyster season and Pride month collide... you're in for a very colorful raw bar experience.

This June, stop by Essex Pearl in The Market Line for a fun twist on our favorite snack on the half shell.

The Southeast Asian seafood spot is getting creative with rainbow oysters in honor of Pride. And no, there's not any weird food coloring involved. The Katama Bay Oysters (sweet petite) are topped with multicolored Flying Fish Roe, and served with Red Chili Nuoc Cham (Vietnamese dipping sauce) and house fried shallots.

Not only are they delicious and Insta-worthy, they also support an important cause. Throughout the month, a portion of proceeds from the Pride Oysters and any of Essex Pearl's signature cocktails will be going to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that focuses on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.

We can't think of a better reason to gather your posse for an oyster hour!
