Properly Prepped

Something to watch out for, a lot of farms charge way too much for stuff. It doesn't take long after walking around and taking a look at the different stands to notice the pricing. But some will use different units - they might sell by the pint, or by the pound. That's one thing you need to shop and cook a lot to know, the quantities - for instance, a pound of spinach is a lot of spinach. Sometimes someone will have a really good deal buying in a bundle rather than loosely, so it takes a little time to figure out. You'll want to bring reusable totes. I always wish a tote had a firm bottom so it wouldn't scrunch up. It will ruin your fruit - juices coming out of your strawberries. That's why those market baskets are so popular, there's good reason behind it, they've a sturdy shape. If you buy some cheese, or some fruits that are soft, you won't have to worry.
