The 19th Annual American Art Award Gala, hosted by the Whitney Museum of Modern Art, honoring Alexandre Von Furstenberg and the Diller-Von Furstenberg Family Foundation.
Dinner Chairs: Susan Hess and Casey Wasserman.
The Whitney Museum’s American Art Award is given each year to an individual or an organization that has made a sustained commitment to the artistic and cultural heritage of the arts in America. The Award is an original artwork commissioned from an American artist and presented to the honoree at a gala dinner. In 2010, we will celebrate the 19th consecutive year of the event, with proceeds providing support for the Whitney’s operating funds, exhibitions and education programs.
With a performance by Lou Reed.
