Dubbed Malle Mars, the bullet-shaped metallic trunk, adorned with LV’s Monogram design, swings up to reveal necessities for a flight of fancy to Mars: medication, tools, picnic wares, and more…plus a folding lounge chair for leisurely lounging device of the Martian landscape. The Louis Vuitton Malle Mars Trunk, along with a collection of items from Nasa's Apollo 11 Archive, will all be on display at The Rose Center for Earth and Space at American Museum of Natural History kicking off tonight with a Louis Vuitton sponsored gala that will include appearances by astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell and Sally Ride.
