What's On Morgan Hutchinson's Holiday Wish List?

by Guest of A Guest · December 20, 2021

When it comes to chic moms, it doesn't get much more fashionable than Morgan Hutchinson!

The Los Angeles-based mother of three founded her brand BURU as a shopping destination for moms looking to create a wardrobe that works for everything from "carpool to cocktails!"

So, curious what's on the stylish designers holiday wish list?

    Us too!

How do you celebrate the holidays?
We love many things about living in Los Angeles, but a palm tree for Christmas isn’t one of them 😉. So we are heading to NYC to celebrate & do all the traditional, cheesy, and equally fabulous holiday things!

Where will you be this season?
    The St. Regis.

    Are you a last-minute or way-in-advance shopper?
Totally last minute. Pre-children I was actually much more on top of things. Now (with three littles and BURU—our fourth child) we are actually much more into experiences and traveling together than tons of gifts. Each child receives three gifts (I mean it was good enough for Jesus, right?) and then we fill stockings with silly little treats.

What's the best gift you've ever received?
Brett, my husband is a great gift giver. He always does well with sparkly things…but to be honest, my favorite gifts are trips.

I love to experience new places with the people I love most. And somehow, when a trip is given as a gift — it feels “lighter” and like even more of an escape!

    What's your go-to hostess gift?
I feel like you can’t really go wrong with a bottle of good bubbly and I love to pair it with custom cocktail napkins with their last name or monogram.

    Favorite spots to shop?
As a small business owner, I’m a BIG believer in shopping small.

Some of my favorite go-tos are Minnow for littles, Mignonne Gavigan for festive jewelry, Red Clay Hot Sauce for foodies, Petite Plume for the whole fam and Criquet for dads.

What's on your list to get?
    I wouldn’t hate a sparkly bracelet. 😉

What's on your list to give?
I love to gift hand-blown glass ornaments. The whimsier the better, but always something that reminds me of the person I’m gifting or of a memory we’ve shared together. I’m also into gifting our Teagan skirts. Nothing says “happy pandemic holidays” like a Brocade ball skirt.
