GLAAD held its annual Media Awards this past Saturday night at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. Recipients were announced in 25 of this year's 32 media categories. Mogul Russell Simmons took home the Excellence in Media Award and Ricky Martin scored the Vito Russo Award for bravery when coming out last year.

Aside from garnering himself an award, Ricky's episode on Oprah, "Ricky Martin Coming Out as a Gay Man and a New Dad" was given the prize for Outstanding Talk Show Episode. Anderson Cooper, Tina Fey, X Factor, The Denver Post, and The Advocate were just a few more names honored. Al Sharpton introduced an excellence award, and Andy Cohen hobnobbed with Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino.
