How did you two end up in the world of perfumery?
Dawn: I interned at in the Global Fragrance department Avon’s Headquarters in New York City when I was an undergraduate at NYU. A few years later, the Fragrance Director called me back in and sent me to a perfumery school to have my nose tested. Et Voila! It was destiny!
Sam: Dawn had been slowly pulling me into her world for years. She constantly had me smelling everything around me, whether it is a glass of wine, the Brooklyn cherry blossoms in spring or fragrances she was working on. When the opportunity to scent the Rodarte show came, I couldn’t resist being a larger part of her world any longer. Six years have gone by and the world of perfumery is still fascinating to me.
