How did the concept of De Maria come about for you two?

Camille and I wanted De Maria to feel communal. We both are very involved in NY downtown culture and one part of our concept was to create a place that all our friends/family can naturally feel at home, comfortable, warming, and most importantly positive vibes. From there everything came accordingly, we saw that space and light is the most important trait to De Maria. The concept was simple, to create an experience of lightness and seeing Camille's recipes nourish and fulfill your well-being, her artistic approach, and "nomadic" spirit of food.
