Your previous book, Assisted Loving, was also about your father. Considering that it focused on your time together as he was alive, what were the differences you felt in approaching Bobby Wonderful?

Bobby Wonderful isn't the romp the last book was, which was all about the life force of my 80 year old father wanting to find love again and using me as something between his wingman and pimp. This book is about saying goodbye to the people who gave me my beginning. I think of it as a spiritual book inspired by the stillness that comes at the end and the cosmic moment when you see your parents breathe their last breaths.
