I noticed the price tag collection. What's that about?
Price tags used to make me feel terrible because I would have anxiety from remembering what I spent. Like, 'Oh man I don’t even want to remember I spent four dollars on this juice.' So I used to rip them off and want to pretend that they didn’t exist. It’s always good to look at things that bother you, so then I started collecting them. At first I thought of it as like, a tumor, but I call it 'Cost of Living,' and I’m probably going to always save the price tags and let them grow. I’d love to cover a gallery in them one day, but for right now I just had it scanned and I actually want to turn it into a fabric. I’m trying to think of something I could cover it with. And they come up a lot in paintings too.
