What advice do you have for young people that are trying to make it in the fashion industry? I think it really depends what you do. But I think the general advice I have for anyone, whether you’re a stylist, a blogger, a designer, is having a strong point of view. Like, what are you? Who are you? What are you going to give me? And being authentic. I think whoever you are, if you just go out there and create a point of view that’s fake and not genuine to who you are, I’m gonna know that right away. Whatever it is. If that’s not really your sensibility, trying to design something that’s not you, I can tell. If you’re trying to write a certain way that’s not you, I can tell. And I think right now you have to go out there and have an authentic point of view. That level of being genuine is gonna bring people in. There’s so much noise out there, there’s too much clothes, there’s too much on the Internet, there’s too much that’s being written, there's too many stylists, but if you have a very distinct way of telling your story, you'll always get noticed.
