Does New York ever inspire your designs?
Totally. Being in the city really forms those ideas. When I go back to Australia, and I take a suitcase full of this stuff - everyone just wears shorts and a tee shirt. But New York, you feel like you can wear anything, and people are very original with it. It’s different from Australia.
In Australia, a lot of people wear little clothing; the trends come, everybody wears the same thing, and then everybody moves along. But in New York, a lot of people wear a lot of different things, at the same time.
Of course, when I look at fashion shows, I love Paris and London.
