Do you run into a lot of obstacles when setting up events of this scale? We’ve been challenged; I’m doing a trip right now for a client to Gettysburg of about 15 people for their 150th anniversary. It’s a multi-generational family. Gettysburg isn’t really a place where you can go that over the top, or deviate that much from what they’re offering. But we’ve managed to bring in some historians to spend some time with the group. We found a gentleman whose father owned a plantation down the road. We hired a bunch of people to dress up like different generals and have lunch with the kids - lots of things to make it cool and unique, and not a typical tour. We want it to be guided, to spice it up. I always say this, but it’s not so much the money as it is about getting creative and trying to wow them. Our clients know the quality of service we provide, and they let us run with it. They really trust us to create things for them, which is pretty cool. [Photo via]
