Who are your icons and muses?
It's really hard to say there is one muse or one icon. I think that it's this idea of a blend of different people. As a woman, throughout our life, we are expected to take on so many things. We are going to be, hopefully, a wife, a mother, a career woman, and at different times, you're kind of channeling different people. I think that within us, we we need to have these, yes muses, but you need to be able to pick and choose parts of people that you like. I would hate to be held to one person, because Grace Kelly was super elegant, but I'd probably only take her elegance. I wouldn't necessarily take her lifestyle. I think Diana Vreeland was such a force to be reckoned with. She had a great sense of humor, and from her, I'd take how she was really able to get the most creativity out of people.
I think when you have your own business, that inspires you. You want to be able to do that too. You want to be able to maximize people's potential. Managing people and being someone's boss is not easy, especially if you're really trying to inspire them, so there isn't really one girl. There's parts of all different women, and I think that the most important thing.
