Who was your biggest design inspiration/mentor when you were first starting out? What was your first job in the industry?
E: Peter and I have both enjoyed tremendous support from many industry "greats", I feel like in almost every phase of our business we have had certain mentors we have been able to lean on. I am always on the lookout for new mentors and try and pay it forward by mentoring people when I am able to as well.
P: My biggest design mentor was definitely Bill Blass. I was an Assistant Designer there as my first job out of Parsons - totally green and enthusiastic. Mr. Blass' aesthetic of that sort of laid back but super luxurious 'All-American' sportswear has been something that I've aspired to since day one.
