The building itself is such a treasure - the perfect vessel to house your collective concept. How did you happen upon it?
We're native New Yorkers and we grew up coming to the Meatpacking District. My grandfather was actually born just a few blocks away and this has always been one of our favorite buildings in the neighborhood so when we learned the space was vacant we jumped at the opportunity. There’s a special feeling when you’re inside Fort Gansevoort. It’s a throwback to a different time and we love old New York.
