Surely being in such a historic building, you must have come across some kind of brick in the road while moving in, no?

Absolutely. One is limited to what one can do when moving into a building from 1840 in a landmarked district. We respect this process and did not want to change anything that is original. There’s an actual tree that has and continues to grow through the center of the building. One can only see this process in action while in the basement, but it’s pretty amazing.
