A Healthy CocktailAn article from Scientific American explains that low amounts of alcohol consumption can help reduce the risk of clot formations.  Alcohol raises levels of prostacyclin and reduces levels of thromboxane, aiding in the prevention of clot production.  It should be noted that these effects can be reversed with heavy or binge drinking so remember: moderation, moderation, moderation.
