Reading through the Minetta Tavern menu is almost kind of sad. So many dishes, thoughtfully created and tasted. None of which any one in their right mind is ordering. Nobody is going to Minetta Tavern for the fruit bowl or the french toast. They should honestly save us all the trouble of even feigning reading anything other than the two magic dishes pulling in the crowds. For the carnivorous father with a love of the finer things - there's the Black Label Burger, formed with four prime cuts of beef, topped with caramelized onions. For the kiddie version, the Minetta Burger does every bit the job. Father - son hamburgers. Adorable.
