You Best Plan Way in Advance
Getting a reservation at a chic restaurant in NYC is hard enough as it is; getting a reservation on the 4th of July, well even Amex probably can't save you here. If your plan is to take a nice cruise or attend a posh party, then you are probably out of luck by now (as I learned last night). Lastly, although NYC never sleeps, other cities in America often close down shops and restaurants on the Fourth (hello Midwest!).
