What was the idea behind it?
So tell me about The Butterfly. What was the idea behind it?
The Butterfly is first and foremost a cocktail bar from Eben Freeman. Eben has been with Altamarea for almost 3 years, doing all the different bars inside our restaurants. We really wanted him to have his own place for a host of reasons, but the first reason is that the space became available. I wanted to be a part of Tribeca, we have restaurants in Columbus Circle and SoHo, and we wanted to have another space downtown.
