Slide #2

Though they are twin brothers, much like the moniker “Day & Night” might suggest they are noticeably different. Daniel wears a backwards cap and is really laid back. Contrarily, Derek is dressed up; hair styled and has an extremely intense demeanor. Only their Midwestern accents betray their small town roots. Raised in Martin’s Ferry, Ohio they went on to attend Ohio State. The brothers quickly became local celebrities as wrestlers, which led to their initial involvement with the Columbus nightlife scene. They moonlighted as doormen at a local club, Amnesia, owned by Blake Seo. But Columbus was only the first step in their careers in the hospitality industry. “We needed something bigger than that,” Derek remembers. “The only reason we really went to school was to wrestle," Daniel adds. "Once we didn’t want to wrestle, we decided we didn’t want to go to school.” They were 20 years old when they arrived in New York City, living in Brooklyn. They tried their hand at modeling after being signed by Trump Models male division, scoring some shoots for Cosmopolitan and even walking in Bryant Park at a Miguel Adrover fashion show.
“We were always on to the next thing," Daniel recalls. “We knew we had to get a job.”
