Interview: Kyle Hotchkiss Carone On Why You Need Host Committee For Your Next Event

Feb 12, 2013 11:44 AM

Kyle Hotchkiss Carone always knew that he wanted to be a part of the hospitality industry. Today, he finds himself acting as the Director of Business Development at Host Committee by day and as the restaurateur behind the new Cole's Greenwich Village by night. The New York maverick has worked on an impressive list of projects including The Setai and The Standard, but it is his new role at Host Committee that has persuaded him to settle into the office world he never thought he would want.

Host Committee is a social media platform that brings your online network to life by providing a simple way to throw private parties at an ever-expanding list of exclusive New York venues. This site is designed to facilitate outreach among your networks by crafting the perfect guest list. Furthermore, it is your own personal party planner, managing the venue, booking and entertainment aspects. The team behind the venture comes from an array of business backgrounds, but all have a first-hand understanding of the competitive culture of Manhattan nightlife. I had the privilege of sitting down with Kyle at his new restaurant to talk about how he got involved and what the future looks like for his fledgling company.
