Can you tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background- were you always interested in fashion?
Erica: Growing up in Peoria, Illinois, I was a total magazine junkie, which definitely fueled my interest in fashion. I loved, loved going to Chicago—three hours north—and exploring boutiques on Oak Street or heading to St. Louis—three hours in the other direction! And, hitting up the shops on Delmar.
Claire: I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, but my grandparents lived 2 hours away in Manhattan, so my family travelled here a couple of times a month and that’s where my mom would do all her shopping. She’d take me along with her to all of the department stores, and that’s how I fell in love with fashion. To this day it’s still how we bond—shopping together. Only now it involves a lot of texting selfies back and forth from dressing rooms.
