When Should Women Take Risks And Step Forward?

H: I think that women have a really great inherent thing called their gut. So I feel like it's more intuitive for women, than it is for men, to really understand when to take a risk, when to be brave, and when to step out of your comfort zone. But, as it pertains to business, I think you have to weigh out whether the juice is worth the squeeze. Are you going to have a good return on your investment? Or is this something that's going to take up so much of your time that it's not going to be worth it? I think that there's a lot that goes into it in terms of business. But, in general, being yourself and standing up for yourself—not being a punching bag—are important. I think that women are really starting to understand their voices more and more. It's important to be heard.
"Spin your own story." "Take some risks." Both [philosophies] have been hugely impactful to me and to how I've been able to grow my career and my entrepreneurial spirit. Spinning your own story is all about being able to be true to your creative self and allowing yourself to be an individual in a society that is full of conformity.
