I always include embroidered napkins at everyone’s place setting. For Victory Club events, the logo (a stag molding from the Imperial Hotel in Vienna) is embroidered in white thread on a white linen napkin. There's just something about white-on-white that's so discreet and elegant.
More than flowers, I insist on art as the centerpiece of the table. When a sculpture is literally the center of the table and conversation, it inspires a dialogue around the culinary and visual arts, my passions and the mission of Victory Club.
Menus (also handpainted) double as namecards. Not to mention, they're a fun souvenir guests can take along with them after the meal.
