Gemma Arterton, New Bond Girl, Won't Have Chauvinistic Name

    Gemma Arterton

21 year-old British Actress Gemma Arterton will be the new Bond Girl in the up and coming Bond22 (the working title for the film). Casino Royale was such a tour de force with Daniel Craig that we can't wait for this one to come out next November. In the meantime, Miss Arterton has a lot of work ahead of her if she is to fill the shoes of other notables like Ursula Andres who started off the tradition of the Bond girl posters being hung up in boy's room across the world when she played Honey Rider in Dr. No, the first Bond.

First of all, she should start by convincing the writer's to change her character's name. She is set to play Bond Girl "Fields", which is already a MAJOR dissapointment. Why would the franchise go and break the chauvinistic tradition of Bond Girl names like Pussy Galore? Fields? Come on, anything would be better than that. We love our old school Bond with all of his womanizing ways, it's a shame that these days, in our PC modern culture, we probably won't get to see too much of him anymore. Good thing there are plenty of reruns on TV of old 007 movies, showing James in all of his former glory.
