Such is the title that heart-throb and Oscar nominee for best actor in Michael Clayton, George Clooney is referring to himself as. The actor told Time Magazine that he expects the statuette to go to Ireland's Daniel Day-Lewis saying:

"For me, it's like being Hillary Clinton, if it weren't for Barack Obama, it would have been a very good year."

This weekend will be all Oscar hoopla, the weekend where we let our West Coast friends take over the scene. And the festivities are well under way. On Wednesday, Radar Entertainment helped host the "W Magazine Hollywood Affair" party at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Beatrice Inn's very own Paul Sevigny was the DJ and guests included our new favorite bachelor Matthew Perry as well as other fabulous NY socialites like bff's Lydia Hearst and Michelle Trachtenberg, and Cameron Richardson. New York's retired money manager and avid Warhol collector William Berggruen's party was also on Wednesday at the Chateau Marmont, proving that even though the best parties may be in the West right now, the best hosts and guests belong to Gotham.
