Yesterday evening, the Black Lips rocked the large, rusty hole in the ground that is McCarren Pool which, aside from having the acoustics of a swimming pool, is an incredible venue. There are balloons and beach balls crowd-surfing at all times, and dodgeball on the side of the pool for your entertainment if the opening act isn’t playing the right notes.
