I Just Cough Some Cherry Chap Stick

I can usually be found cruising to some reggae, Steely Dan or anything by Jimmy Cliff.. all playing on my iPod, which is connected to my radio. But, the other day I decided to do some FM surfing while I was stuck in traffic. Katy Perry’s song, ‘I kissed a girl’ was on and I have since become addicted! The rest of the day I found myself praying for it to be on the radio again and I could not wait to get home to download it onto my iPod (to undoubtedly abuse with the ‘repeat’ button). Since hearing this song I can pretty much be found filling any void of silence singing the lyrics… “I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her cherry chap stick. I kissed a girl just to try it, I hope my boyfriend don't mind it…”...

What weird lyrics to be walking around singing, but it is SO catchy! I don’t have a boyfriend and the last girl I kissed was my grandmother, whom I don’t recall wearing any cherry chap stick, but rather scent her atypical grandma fragrance.. something of lilac talcum powder, Catholic Church, mothballs, salt substitute and dust under the couch (love you grams). My point: download this song! Give this lady a try! And if you hear it on repeat at Bungalow.. I will probably be jumping up and down screaming along and grabbing everyone to tell them that “this is my jam”. Also listen to “You’re so Gay”.. the lyrics are hysterical.
