The "Nerd Alert" Report...

by Rachelle Hruska · March 4, 2009

Today in nerd land:

The CeBit Fair-the world's largest high-tech fair-is under way in Hanover, Germany.  California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger tapped into his inner geek while shaking hands with a robotic arm yesterday.

Facebook held a two-hour press conference today to go over new products and the direction of the social network.  Tech Crunch is, you guessed it, LIVE BLOGGING the event. (@techcrunch) They are at the Q&A part, exciting stuff!

We are living in the future guys! It's true, wireless internet really does exist in airplanes.  I'll see it when I believe it, Virgin.

MySpace looses three executives today, including it's COO Amit Kapur, Jim Benedetto (SVP of engineering), and Steve Pearman (SVP of product strategy).

Apple iPhones can help you play guitar, podcasts and Sudoku, but now they can also help you play with yourself!  iBrate and the OhMiBod are getting considerable buzz lately.  Because even nerds need a little release. EWWWW....

Finally, Kindle has released their iPhone App. You can now go to the iTunes store to buy ebooks to read off your phone!
