"Best 2K I Ever Spent!" Shaking It Up Shakespeare-Style

by SUSANNAH LONG · June 15, 2010

Did you know we were a drama major in college? You didn't? Maybe that's because we're ashamed of it. Just now, though, we were flipping through pics of our turn as Silent Fairy Number 6 in"Midsummer Night's Dream," and we felt this hankering for some Shakespeare that only party photos could satisfy . . .

This is from a conceptual student production of Hamlet.

Aw, the actors are getting ready to put on a show!

They do not love who do not show their love - Two Gentlemen From Verona

I will give thee bloody teeth! - Anthony and Cleopatra

It's the twins from Twelfth Night. So one of them must be a man, and one of them is a woman pretending to be a man.

If music be the food of love, play on - Twelfth Night

Wow, Oberon and Titania have no discretion.

O God, that men should put an enemy in their mouths to steal away their brains! that we should, with joy, pleasance, revel, and applause, transform ourselves into beasts! - Othello

We have a good feeling about this. This is more Benedict and Beatrice than Romeo and Juliet.

That shrew looks like she can't be tamed.

For serious.
