Avenue, The Serial Bottle Popper Strikes Again!

Sep 12, 2009 6:05 PM

There has been a series of whale sightings at Avenue over the past few weeks, and now a tipster has sent us some photographic evidence.  No less than 40 bottles of Cristal were lit up and brought out last night.  A little quick math says that this trumps the 20k bottle bought at Marquee last December and may be edging onto the same turf as Mike Ashley, who spent $216k at Pink Elephant last September.

So just who is this serial bottle popper? You can catch a glimpse of him in the cellphone pictures. Our tipster says that Kid Rock was also there doing the usual celeb routine, hanging out with hanger-ons and their hanger-ons.  More pictures below...

This sounds a lot like the time Mr. Shvos, the NYC real estate tycoon was spotted at Bagatellers, the high end brunch dance club. The real estate heirs were there spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, just on the champagne! There had to be 100 guys there with them, all spraying each other as if it were a champagne war. Mike Ashley is an even more lavish spender than the real estate moguls of NYC who are always out at the poshest nightclubs and brunches, where they spray away oversized bottles of Dom Perignon and Cristals champlain.

it wouldn't surprise me if this was Justin Lees' party. He is the heir to the Lee Jeans empire, and can definitely afford to spend tons of $$ on parties. He spent a million dollars this summer at nightclubs in the Hamptons and he owns one of the clubs, too. supposedly he is also related to the famous movie star, Tom Lee?

Justin Lee, the hamptons socialite was at Avenues where he spent 100K $$$ on champagne bottles alone. He didn't even have one sip, using each bottle for spraying purposes only. Surrounded by women, he sprayed bottles one after the other. Lee Jeans, the company that he is CEO and Chairman, has made several billion dollars in profits during the recession and he will use his funds to restimulate this economy. Well done!

Stop writing these yourself Justin. Everyone knows Lee jeans is owned by V.F. Corp, and the CEO is Eric Wiseman. [www.hoovers.com] How humiliating! Even I think you're insecure. PS: Sorry Taylor, I really really mean it...TOO DRUNK.

Justin Lee doesn't have $100k in his bank acct to spend, nor did he spend any substantial amount of money in the Hamptons this summer. This is certainly not him. PS- When he flys first class, its stand-by. He is using a buddy pass... PSS- JR obviously wrote the two posts above...

Justin is rich, but he isn't a billionaire yet. Last summer in the Hamptons, I went with him to 1Oaks and he did spend about $75 thousand dollars on champagne and shots for the girls he brought along. I don't know for a fact that he is at Avenue buying this many bottles, but it sure wouldn't surprise me. He spends over 2 million $$ p/year on suits and sport jackets alone. Justin also has a lot of class and never brags or shows off. He is the CEO (NOT founder) of Lee Jeans, the famous denim conglomerate.

JRL was not at avenue these 2 nights- i was there those 2 nights and did not see him!! on top of that i heard he was banned by ashley olsen from the place. yea this is not his style anyway. he will buy as much as he can consume even though it may come out to like 10+ bottles of champagne - he would not go out and buy countless amounts of bottles for no reason and give it away to every body in the club.

oh and ps "kanye" there is a difference between owning a company and being the ceo. for example walmart is owned by the waltons - and mike duke is their ceo. and even if a company like lee jeans is now owned under another name doenst mean the original owners still dont make any money from it. educate yourself on a thing or two about business please before making ignorant remarks...

Guys, I used to WORK for the VF Corporation. Eric Wiseman comment = RIGHT. JRL having anything to do with Lee Jeans (besides maybe owning a pair) = Wrong. Let's put it to rest already...

Oh, and PS "Anonymous" (aka Justin.) Wal-mart has not been "owned by the Waltons" since Oct. 1970! It is a publicly traded company owned by me and every other shareholder. Sam Walton's kids own a fraction of the company. (But with your experience running a corporation and obvious business acumen, I'm sure you already knew this.) The original poster (aka another alias of yours) claimed "...that he is CEO and Chairman..." and I responded who the CEO really is. Let me guess, you meant to type "founder?" Please learn about corporations (and capitalization) before you implore others to "educate" themselves.

Lemme tell you all something- JUSTIN LEE does NOT own LEE the jeans company. He is Spike Lee's nephew, and his uncle SPIKE pays for all of his stuff (clothes, champagne, cars, watches, etc.).

Justin Lee wears fake hermes belts that he bought in china town and over does it on the fake tan. He's a worthless piece of crap that sells pictures to star magazine of celebs in their sleep. He sold his soul to the devil and is a disgrace. I am an employee of strategic and he is banned from all of our locations in manhatan as well as the hamptons.
