It's no secret that quite a few of us here in the Guest of a Guest office are germaphiles, which means now that Fashion Week is over we're only too happy to swap out our Lagerfeld for Lederhosen. Happily, it seems like hundreds of New Yorkers were feeling the same thing this weekend,-

For the first year ever, World Yacht and Pier 81 hosted Oktoberfest On The Hudson, a four hour celebration of Bavaria. People with high alcohol tolerances and a good sense for oom-pah-pah kitsch (Billy Gray, these are your PEOPLE!) came together to feast, drink, drink on a boat, drink on the pier, and (we hope?) sing some German drinking songs. (If they didn't, we'd be happy to lead the chorus next year....)
