As if you could have possibly failed to notice, Santacon was a raging success last Saturday. The event was so big this year that they had to start in five different places! However, as a Santa traditionalist, I was a bit disappointed in some of the variations on the "Santa theme". For instance...

Will some astute commenter please explain what the hell this is?

John Lennon and....Beaker from The Muppets? Is that right? Why does John Lennon have a monkey? Why does Beaker have one enormous hand?

Dear Santa, I think I speak for women everywhere when I ask, is there a return policy on this?

I wonder which of these two grown women turned to the other and said "You know what would be GREAT? Instead of dressing up like Santa at Santacon this year, we should dress up as FOUR year olds! hahaha!"
Anyway. Lots more where those came from in our gallery, but in the meantime, let's celebrate the people who joyfully captured the TRUE spirit of Santacon.

The green "head" is a costume head worn by Deadmau5, dj/producer/electronic music producer... fans show up to his events always with their own designed heads and tend to generally cause trouble since...of course...they dont realize they are wearing a giant mouse head which triples the width of their bodies and hits people who are just trying to have fun and dance.

I like the girls in the kids costumes. It says on the website to dress in anything festive and when I met those girls they were really fun and awesome. Not only were they creative but they looked really cute doing it

We love the people that were creative and didn't dress just like Santa... Guest of a Guest- you should do your research on the website of SANTACON and see what the TRUE meaning really is! Santa's Rules: Santa looks like Santa. HOLIDAY APPAREL IS MANDATORY. A Santa hat is not enough. Get a Santa suit. Buy a Santa suit. Make a Santa suit. Steal a Santa suit. Get creative: be a Secret Santa, a Santasaurus, Candy-cane, a Reindeer, a Chanukah Chicken, a latke, Stewardess Santa, Knight Rider Santa, Crusty Peace Punk Santa, the occasional Legless Reindeer, Chanukah Squirrel, Emo-Elf, or the Santichrist. Just don't wear your jeans.

Funny, I thought the TRUE spirit of Santacon was to have a kick a$$ time, and spread some holiday, and slightly intoxicated, cheer? Clearly your A.D.D. must have kicked in before you got through the first few sentences on the Santacon site... let me help you out. "Get creative: be a Secret Santa, a Santasaurus, Candy-cane, a Reindeer, a Chanukah Chicken, a goddamn latke, Stewardess Santa, Knight Rider Santa, Crusty Peace Punk Santa, the occasional Legless Reindeer, Chanukah Squirrel, Emo-Elf, or the Santichrist. Just don't wear your #ucking jeans."
