Last night and the night before, a horde of Manhattanites left the island and ventured to East Rutherford, NJ, for the U2 concert at Giants Stadium. The enormous sets made for quite the visual spectacle as ecotarian Bono and his legendary band performed for a full venue of 80,000 shoulder-to-shoulder fans, a mix proving that the group transcends age (and state lines). There were so many attendees that train traffic following the show was almost three fold, as nearly 20,000 riders set a record against the typical 7,000 person flow. Clogged for hours, trips added to the normal run schedule did nothing to prevent extended waits to get home. Part of the "No Line on the Horizon" tour, this band is showing no signs of letting age slow them down, as they already have plans for another album, entitled "Songs of Ascent," due out next year. Maybe the transit authority should plan accordingly.

I was there last night and I immediately left after With or Without you, This was my first concert ever and boy I regret in a good way it is. No concert cannot top U2's performance last night for me. My favorite song, With or Without You, that was just WOW with the lighting and Bono's singing. AMAZING! Words cannot describe how much heart the band puts into their concerts. I am 19 years old and it was simply an outstanding experience for a gal who loves and appreciates U2 and 80's music.

U2 360 tour in Boston, Sept 21st, was pivotal. The spaceship stage, "OFF THE CHARTS!" A dream come true for me. 8yrs of planning, to get this tour/stage put into fruition. If humanity wasn't a part of your character before you saw their concert? It certainly was, by the time you left. Being an active humanitarian and member of Amnesty Int'l, One.org, etc..it was so amazing to see U2 up close, the imagery, Desmond Tutu, supporting Iran's people and honoring Aung Sun Li. As the guy in front of me fell and passed out drunk, Sunday Bloody Sunday played..I couldn't hold back the tears. His lyrics, his actions, his life's work..it's all put to incredible music>>One race = H U M A N
