I'll admit, I had never even heard of Latin Quarter, that little nightlife spot next to the Radisson Hotel on 48th and Lexington, until Giants star Plaxico Burress shot himself there this weekend. What should have been the best thing to ever happen to the club (hey, that's how we heard about its existence right?), is shaping out to be the worst. Today, we just heard (on the radio of all places), that Mayor Michael Bloomberg is calling for the liquor board to order the revocation of the club's license. No word yet on whether this will happen or not, but not sure about LQ having to pay the price for this incident. Thoughts?

They let in a guy with a gun!! Of course they should have their liquor license revoked. Totally irresponsible. They knew it and allowed it and that is not what repsonsible liquor license holders are supposed to do. Not to mention then allow it to be covered up ALA Sound Factory. Bloomberg is going to KILL this until he turns blue. This is the only thing besides the schools that bllomberg has a itch on his ass for!

Great, what we need is another club closing. It's over doing the response to acts like this that's shut down the better clubs in this city... who's gonna want to pay the price for this, might as well move out to Vegas or Miami....oh wait the promoters already started doing that 10 years ago.
