1. EMM Group was granted permits on Monday to the long-vacant space at 199 Bowery. The group has plans of opening up a Asian fusion restaurant with a jazz lounge down below and a front-of-house bakery from chef Thiago Silva. The multi-level venue will launch in September. [NYPost]
