Awhile ago, I went over the importance of the Monday night party. Especially in the summer, a time when everyone it seems, wants to draw out the weekend festivities a little longer, Monday night parties can make you or break you as a serious club owner. I always give props to anyone that tries to create a successful Monday night hot spot. That's why we wanted to welcome the "I can't believe it's not Butter" nights over at Bar Martignetti's awhile ago. Today's Post.com does a write up on the Monday night CLASH complete with this quote from Richie Akiva (team Butter):

"Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but after five years it is clear that everyone prefers the real thing. All Butter alternative products should remain on the shelf."

I say we give the Martignetti brothers a chance, and not just because I live so close to the place....Butter has had an amazing Monday night run, no one is disputing this, but I think everyone's ready for something new. Give them a couple weeks to sort things out and I bet Broome street will be overflowing with Monday night party goers.
