Last night, Cipriani's 42nd Street was the site of the 2008 UNICEF Snowflake Ball honoring Lucy Liu and Cary Cohen. Presented by Baccarat, the Ball honors those individuals who have made key contributions to UNICEF's mission to save and improve children's lives worldwide. The UNICEF Snowflake, suspended at 5th and 57th street was lit last night and marks the beginning of the holiday giving season. The ball last night was hosted by Bryant Gumbel and co-chaired by Hilary Gumbel and Amy Robbins. Barbara Bush and Maggie Betts served as gala junior chairs. Jon McLaughlin gave a live performance for guests and Mayor Bloomberg toasted the room.
