Last night, Nima Yamini hosted "The Electric Party" at Cipriani's Upstairs in Soho. I have no idea who Nima is or what an Electric Party entails. I was, however, curious to see what old Cips looked like. You may have remembered that they just reopened with a brand spankin new "redesign." Let's examine the old vs. new shall we?

Let's break it down:

• The white bricks and wooden rafters are gone. Replaced by tan walls and white ceilings.

• There is a working fireplace and the bull has been moved from the bar (?) to it's mantle.

• The booths have been reupholstered (hopefully) and new clean pillows.

• There is a TV coming out of the wall for screenings.

What did I miss? The European transplants? Nope. They're still there. The men in hats and leather jackets? Them too.  Girls sipping Bellini's in "style"? Well, I can't tell based on these photos, but I'm assuming it's a safe bet.
